On a toshiba drive you don’t have the either or option but may have to go through all this to get to point where it will let you eject [I suggest never using a toshiba back up drive. Though it is best to not eject while transfering data, close out everything then pull out usb. If I am using quick removal it does not require the quick eject. If I click on better performance it will require enable the eject. On the seagate drive for removal policy I can select either quick removal default. Here you will find options depending on the drive you are working with. The dialog box then closes and opens again with a policies tab added to it. New dialog box opens in this one click on the change settings lower left of box, Right click on I do this from left panel, to then find properties/Ĭlick on properties, / select hardware tab / find drive you want to open / then on lower right click on properties Open up my computer, or this pc, look for the external drive you want to ejecct.
